Can't make it to Boston for this year's Boston Marathon?  Then join us for our own marathon right here in Phoenix!  On the same weekend as runners take to the streets of Bean Town we will be hosting the final leg in our Going the Distance Series - the Going the Distance Marathon / Half Marathon / 4 Mile. The course will take you through dedicated running trails of the New River Trail System, starting and ending at Rio Vista Park in Peoria - meaning no need for transportation before or after the race just to get back to your car!

Get your miles in while earning points for the chance to win an all expense paid trip to the San Francisco Half Marathon!  At the end of the race we will hold our Going the Distance Prize Drawing and announce our grand prize winner that will be running in San Francisco this summer!

The Going the Distance Marathon is part of StartLine Racing's signature series - Going the Distance.  The series is a collection of five races featuring the five most common race distances, starting with a 5K and building to the completion of your first marathon!

About our Benefactors

The Max Cure Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to advancing cures for pediatric cancers, funding the development of less toxic treatments for children, including the funding of an immune cell therapy lab at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center dedicated to alternative treatments for children battling the disease. MCF provides low-income families who are battling pediatric cancer emotional and financial support, while seeking to inspire children with the disease to face it with courage and bravery.

MCF currently has two families in Arizona Roar Beyond Barriers program being treated at Phoenix Children's Hospital - Buddy (age 6) and Maurice (age 9).  With monies raised, MCF will provide these families, and hopefully many more in Arizona, with monthly Target gift cards to help purchase necessities such as food and clothing.

StartLine Racing is excited to team up with MCF to become an official drop-off locations for their Dunk Your Kicks program at EVERY StartLine event.  What is Dunk Your Kicks?  Simple.  When you are done with your running shoes, we can use them to help benefit those that need them.  It is estimated that 200 million pairs of Sneakers are thrown into landfills each year.  By donating them to Dunk Your Kicks instead, MCF uses an international recycler to get those shoes in the hands that need them.  In exchange MCF receives monies that they put directly back into their Roar Beyond Barriers program to help children like Buddy and Maurice. So as you cross that finish line think about Dunking Your Kicks to help fight pediatric cancer!

Parking & Bag Check

Parking will be available at/near the Start/Finish line. As all distance share a common start/finish line no bag check will be offered at this event.

Timing & Race Bibs

All StartLine Racing events are chip timed using disposable chips that are pre-attached to the back of your race bib.  You need to do nothing but wear your race bib on race day to be timed.

All race bibs MUST be worn on your front torso for us to accurately produce your start and finish time.  Please wear the bib on your outer most layer of clothing.Finish times will be available immediately after your complete your event on our Result Screens located in/near the vendor area at the event.

Strollers & Pets

Strollers and pets are allowed at all StartLine Racing events.  We do ask that if you run with a stroller that you start at the back of the pack at the start.  As all runners are chip timed, this will have no effect on your overall time, as your time will not start until you physically cross the start line.
